Top Honors Given For Ads About Local Employment Web Sites

St. Louis, MO – Oct 1, 2006 –Mercury Multimedia, Inc., an award-winning video and multimedia production company, today announced they have received a Bronze Telly Award in recognition for their work on advertisements for WorkMetro’s local employment web sites.  The Telly Awards recognize outstanding video and film productions as well as cable television programs and commercials.  Mercury Multimedia collaborated with Ozone Advertising for the WorkMetro campaign.  Mercury’s role in this first national television campaign was key to making it an affordable and simple process.     

“We are very excited to have our work recognized with this honor,” said Chris Lawing, president and executive producer of Mercury Multimedia.  “I think the combination of clear messaging and simple visuals helps viewers easily identify with a new method to find a better job.”

WorkMetro, a network of local employment web sites, provides an efficient, cost-effective way for local employers and job seekers can connect.  The company operates 20 web sites in major markets across the United States.  Mercury Multimedia and Ozone Advertising were challenged to make the WorkMetro web sites an easy and comfortable option for viewers to find or fill new local jobs.

“The spots came out complete with the wit and whimsy they needed to survive multiple viewings, and also with the simplicity and ease message intact,” said David McGrane, president of Ozone Advertising.  “It was a successful end to a potentially complicated project.”

This year marked the 27th for the Telly Awards, and winners were selected from more than 12,000 entries from all 50 states and five continents.
